A Restrospective Evaluation of Otorhinolaryngology Consultations Requested from the Emergency Department

Aim: In this study, it was aimed to examine the emergency service consultations requested from otorhinolaryngology outpatient clinic and discuss results in light of literature. Material Methods: our 376 department Kastamonu Training Research Hospital between dates 01.10.2019 01.10.2021 were examined retrospectively. Age gender patients, date consultation, reasons for diagnoses made as a result consultation interventions recorded. Results: 142 (37.8%) patients who female 234 (62.2%) them male. The mean total age 38.43. most common reason nasal fracture, infectious causes, foreign body ear nose, respectively (n=77, 20.47%; n=51, 13.56%; n=39, 10.37%; n=36, 9.57%). frequently months are July (n=62, 16.48%), August (n=45, 11.96%) September (n=44, 11.70%), respectively. As consultations, removal fracture repositioning (n=64, 17.02%; n=58, 15.42%). No pathology found 79 (21.01%). Conclusion: fact that physicians have sufficient knowledge experience emergencies will both reduce mortality morbidity prevent loss time internal power by preventing unnecessary requests
